Illinois Special Ed: CPR - 504 Plans

504 Plans offer children with disabilities an access to education. 504 plans can offer an excellent way for your child to receive the accommodations and other adjustments to their educational experience that they require. A proper 504 plan can do anything from ensuring that your child’s school is completely wheelchair accessible, to guaranteeing that your child’s in-school diet accommodates their food allergies.

The law distinguishes between children receiving an IEP and a 504 plan. Complex legislature however, can make it difficult for parents to fully understand what rights their children are entitled. The reality and danger is that the professionals working with your children to properly assess the appropriate plan for your child often don’t understand either. Our expertise can help make sure that your child is receiving exactly what they need to succeed.
